There are not too many places in Texas left like this. Unspoiled. Uncorrupted. Rugged. Naturally beautiful. Nothing I write can do this place justice. As me and Chris pulled off the river, we both agreed that no one would ever fully understand the gravity of how REAL our three nights and four days were. We got bit, and hard..from the moment we slid our yaks into the crystal clear water of the Devils River. This river is a pathway into a place that few people will ever get to see. From good quality fish to a rising river in the dark on our last night, the Devils River was both very challenging (more so than I expected) and highly rewarding.
